Black Green is my favourite modern deck in this metagame. Here is my actual list and all you need to know about the utilization of the sideboard.

Grixis Death’s Shadow

This matchup is going to be a topdeck match a lot of time because both players play lots of discard and removal. The goal is to get a card advantage and have few bad cards for the late game.

《Liliana of the Veil》is a really annoying card for Grixis. 《Chameleon Colossus》 is a beast in this match and it is almost impossible to lose with it in play.

《Fatal Push》 and 《Abrupt Decay》 do the same job, one is cheaper but the other one can be an answer against 《Liliana, the Last Hope》 or 《Liliana of the Veil》. Also 《Abrupt Decay》 can’t be countered by 《Stubborn Denial》.

BW Eldrazi Aggro

《Liliana of the Veil》 is great against eldrazi creatures but 《Lingering Souls》 is hamstringing it. You need cards which can deal with the tokens like 《Ishkanah, Grafwidow》.

《Flaying Tendrils》 can also kill 《Tidehollow Sculler》 and 《Wasteland Strangler》. The 4 《Relic of Progenitus》 will decrease the power of your 《Traverse the Ulvenwald》. The match is going to go long, so you should decrease the number of discard spells because they are bad topdecks.

Uxx Control

Control decks can have wildly different lists, so the in and out depends of what you saw from them game one.

《Abrupt Decay》 is good against 《Detention Sphere》 and 《Rest in Peace》. 《Go for the Throat》 is good against 《Tasigur, the Golden Fang》 and 《Celestial Colonnade》.

《Maelstrom Pulse》 helps against everything including planswalkers but it’s an expensive card. If your opponent is playing 《Snapcaster Mage》 and 《Lingering Souls》 you can add a 《Grafdigger's Cage》 to the 3 《Nihil Spellbomb》.

Dredge

This is the match where you have the most useless cards maindeck. With 3 《Nihil Spellbomb》, 2 《Grafdigger's Cage》 and 《Scavenging Ooze》 for 《Traverse the Ulvenwald》 you have ways to deal with their graveyard.

Eldrazi Tron

I had a lot of sideboard cards for this match before, but I realized it is not really necessary. You don’t have useless cards in your main deck, all removal has targets. 《Liliana of the Veil》 is also much better for this match than against BW eldrazi.

Affinity

As usual the most annoying card you can face as a BG deck is 《Etched Champion》. Adding 4 “Wrath” effects which could kill it is important. You have a lot of removal for the other creatures.

Collected Vizier

You can compare this match to the old UG infect deck. Playing removal on creatures and discard their 《Collected Company》 and 《Chord of Calling》 is the best way to win the game. 《Collective Brutality》 is perfect for doing both.

If you have too many creatures you lose the game, this is why you side out 2 《Tarmogoyf》. You cut 2 《Inquisition of Kozilek》 because you can’t discard a《Collected Company》 with it and you prefer removal for the late game. If you think your opponent is playing more than 2 《Eternal Witness》 you can also add a second 《Nihil Spellbomb》.

Burn

Here again, 《Collective Brutality》 is great. I like to keep the 2 《Thoughtseize》since, discard in the first turn of the game is great. Burn spell deals more damage anyway. You can still discard it to 《Liliana of the Veil》 or 《Collective Brutality》 after.

RG Ramp

Playing discard and threats like 《Tarmogoyf》 or 《Liliana of the Veil》 is how you win the game. You buy time with 《Fulminator Mage》 or 《Abrupt Decay》 which can destroy their mana acceleration. It can also destroy 《Blood Moon》.

RG Valakut

Same as RG Ramp but here 《Abrupt Decay》 is useless and 《Collective Brutality》 can be used to discard 《Scapeshift》 or Mana Acceleration.

Abzan

《Grim Flayer》, 《Lingering Souls》, 《Traverse the Ulvenwald》 and 《Tasigur, the Golden Fang》, this deck is using the graveyard a lot so, 3 《Nihil Spellbomb》 will decrease the impact of all of these cards. 《Ishkanah, Grafwidow》 is still a big problem for Abzan. 《Chameleon Colossus》 is weak against 《Path to Exile》.

Jund

Only 《Kolaghan's Command》 use the graveyard, so you don’t need 《Nihil Spellbomb》. Same as with Grixis Shadow, the one for ones in both decks will transform the game into topdeck mode. Decreasing your discard and increasing your threats are the key to the late game.

Ad Nauseam

Graveyard hate and removal are useless here. You just add 3 《Collective Brutality》 and swap out useless cards.

UR Storm

You have the discard, and the graveyard hate for 《Past in Flames》 and the removal for 《Baral, Chief of Compliance》 and 《Goblin Electromancer》. Your opponent can still try a fast 《Empty the Warrens》 but you also have 《Maelstrom Pulse》 for the tokens. It is good to keep the 《Abrupt Decay》 in case of 《Blood Moon》.

Living End

You can do a lot of good things against Living End. Having 《Nihil Spellbomb》 or 《Scavenging Ooze》 is of course an easy way of hating them out, but you can also play your 《Collective Brutality》, discard cascade spells and put your Creatures in your graveyard to prevent the next Living End. This is why you add 《Ishkanah, Grafwidow》, 《Fulminator Mage》, 《Big Game Hunter》 and 《Chameleon Colossus》.

Lantern Control

You play removal which does nothing but 《Abrupt Decay》 and 《Maelstrom Pulse》 are great. You should have a deck with only good cards or cycling after sideboarding. 《Collective Brutality》 gives you reach if 《Ensnaring Bridge》 is in play. 《Ishkanah, Grafwidow》 could win the game with his Spider ability or sometime because of the Token’s 1 power.

Elves

This matchup is almost the same as vs Collected Vizier. You need removal. 《Liliana of the Veil》 could be bad because of 《Dwynen's Elite》. 《Thoughtseize》 can discard 《Collected Company》 and is good against GW Vizier combo list. If you play against the BG version with 《Shaman of the Pack》, 《Inquisition of Kozilek》 is better.
