At the World Magic Championship 2018, Hareruya Pros Javier Dominguez won this magnificent tournament.

Games that attracted many Magic players has ended but their new battles has already begun. 2018-2019season starts and Hareruya Pros from different countries have new challenges and at this moment are sharpening their knives to play in the new season.

With those Hareruya Pros, we have new teammates to join.

All are world’s top level players and have talented skills with them. You may know some familiar names.

Also, they will be in a team with Hareruya’s name crowned and will be playing the new season.

Let us introduce the players who will join and attend in our teams!

Three Great Players Join the Hareruya Pros!

First we would like to introduce a player who recently was announced to be in the Magic Hall of Fame Lee Shi Tian. Having a 5 time pro tour top 8, 10 time grand prix top 8, and also having a world’s top class playing skills, he is the only APAC region player other than a Japanese player to enter the Magic Hall of Fame.

Born in Hong Kong, not only players from his country but he is a community leader in the APAC region. Lots of players show respect to him and he is one of the players who supports and puts in effort to grow the Magic community.

Yam Wing Chun may ring a bell as the world’s best Ramnup Red deck user. He was using Turbo Fog at the 25th Anniversary Pro Tour and shows his skill at playing the game.

He shows at tournaments all over the world, and piles up this wins. From deep in this heart, he respects Lee Shi Tian, a player also from his home country Hong Kong and aims to become as him.

Last but not least is Kelvin Chew, a player representing Singapore. His Pro Tour debut was in a Modern format at Pro Tour Philadelphia and since then, he has constantly attended the Pro Tour and continues to shows his talent at the top level tournaments,

As he won his first title Grand Prix Beijing 2017, he continuously played well to qualify for the World Magic Championship 2017, and comes to a top 4 finish!


These three players will be joining the Hareruya Pros. All players that represent the APAC region and their skills when playing have no doubt. We are so excited to see them play the new season!

As we announced at the beginning of this article, we have several teams with Hareruya crowned in its name and they will be attending in these teams. Let me introduce what teams we have this season!

From Spain a runner up of the World Magic Championship 2017, but continued to play great and magnificent games leading him to a top 8 at Pro Tour Rivals of Ixalan. He continued to have great results during last season and was able to take down World Magic Championship 2018 and become the world’s strongest player!

The finals of the World Magic Championship 2018 was a game between 2 Hareruya Pros. All though he lost to Javier Dominguez, his great play was seen from all over the world. As the 2nd place of the World Magic Championship, he will continue to write articles on our Hareruya website to be our “mentor of Magic”

The champion of Pro Tour Theros has once again become platinum level pro this season. He has shown his triumph with using his Esper Control at Grand Prix Brussel 2018, and in Grand Prix Shizuoka Autumn 2017 and Grand Prix Seattle 2018 (Legacy) he came in 2nd place.

He has just joined the Hareruya Pros and become a Magic Hall of Famer but his journey to play the game has not yet ended. As a member of the Hareruya Sword, we are excited to see how he will play.

He has also just joined our Hareruya Pros and will be in the Hareruya Sword as well. We are excited to see how he will play next season as he attends the Pro Tours and Worlds from Singapore.

Last but not least is a player from Channel Fireball, Andrea Mengucci. He is a player that represents Italy and was representing Italy for the World Magic Cup 2015 which led him to victory. He does lots of Legacy and cube format streams online which most of you must have seen at least once.

*He will join the Hareruya Swords but not a member of the Hareruya Pros.

Tomoharu Saito

He plays magic showing his deep love of the game to the community in and out. He is the president of Hareruya Inc. and played as a Hareruya Pro will play as Hareruya Axe this season to face the world!

He is a Magic Hall of Famer loved by lots of players across the world. He won The Finals 2017. He also has a streaming contents at the Hareruya Channel, and also appears as a commentator in lots of tournaments. He attended as a Japanese commentator for the World Magic Championship 2018 watching his teammate win the tournament.

He is known to be a grinder attending PTQs but now a player constantly playing at the Pro Tour. Even new, he flies around the world playing in tournaments which hasn’t changed. He plays as a member in the Hareruya Axe and will be seeing him in lots of Grand Prix’s across the world.

A player from Czech. To attend Grand Prix Nagoya 2018, he is currently playing in Japan and attended our Hareruya Combat, our show on the YouTube channel recently. He top8ed Grand Prix Atlanta 2018 and at Grand Prix Washington D.C. 2018 he attended in the winning team. He will also be playing as a member of the Hareruya Axe.

He has just joined Hareruya Pros and he aims to win a crown title at a premier event. His deeply respecting mentor Lee Shi Tian has become a Magic Hall of Famer, and he will follow his footsteps as he plays further on in the new season.

Once again, last but not least is the Magic Hall of Famer Raphael Levy. His first Pro Tour appearance was at Pro Tour Paris 1997 when he was at age 15. From then, he has continuously played at the Pro Tour for 91consecutive times and he has played at the Pro scene for years till now.

*He will join the Hareruya Axe but not a member of the Hareruya Pros.

Team Series

So, here we have 4 teams grouped with most of the Hareruya Pros this season. Hareruya Latin, the 2nd place team of the 2018 team series, Hareruya North America, who were announced when the World Magic Championship were taking place, and Hareruya Sword and Hareruya Axe.
